Re: HASL for cartridges? (split/OT from: Cheese & Onion)
Thanks. I hope no one generated a netlist from that, there's no ground connection on the VIC side... :o I'm going to roll my own cart with garbage I have lying around like cache SRAM from a 486 motherboard and a 1Mb EEPROM. I have a Radio Shack card edge prototype board I'm going to use. I have even...

Re: HASL for cartridges? (split/OT from: Cheese & Onion)
Don't worry; MCes will simply scratch off the part numbers. If you can't see the part number, you can't see the problem.
It's brilliant, really.

Re: VIC 20 circuit board
This is a board 324001 to which active cooling was applied to the voltage regulator and rectifier bridge. Today a much better solution is to replace the regulator (usually an LM323 or TO-3 7805) with a modern switching type. Gyro Gearloose even designed a TO-3 format switcher specifically for this ...

Game cartridges with COB
I remember seeing a game cartridge with a COB, I think it was Crossfire. Is that my failing imagination, or were there really game cartridges with a COB?

Re: Need advice on Oscilloscope probes
If you also offer Sauerbraten I might move in permanently! Then I'd go visit Horst L[ü]ning and stock up on the essentials... Well, you're in luck! That just requires a short trip to my other base in Cologne. You know though, that Echter Rheinischer Sauerbraten is made from horse meat? ;) Here in B...

Well, I guess that's an advantage of a DSO, there's less to eat. I don't think you'd make your way through my Tektronix 547. Maybe if I took out the plugin?eslapion wrote:Whoa... I can't eat my scope for breakfast, now can I ???

Re: Need advice on Oscilloscope probes
If the breakfast also includes toast with apricot marmalade, orange juice, baked beans, sausage and spam , I'm all in. I'll reciprocate with Weißwurst , Brezen, süß-saurem Senf and a Helles. ;) If you also offer Sauerbraten I might move in permanently! Then I'd go visit Horst Luening and ...

Re: Need advice on Oscilloscope probes
pfff autoset. what kind of wussies need that? =) (and yes, my 30yr old philips can do it too) I suppose your Philips can also capture a single pulse and show you what occurred BEFORE the trigger too ? That's what the delay line is for. Hey, you didn't say how much before the trigger you wanted to s...
