https://accentual.com/bmvic20/ BMCVIC20 is a bare metal VIC20 Emulator (using VICE) for the Raspberry Pi (Models 2 & 3). There is no bloated O/S to boot and the emulator has direct access to hardware resulting in better performance than the Linux based distributions. VICE dependencies are satisf...

Re: PAL VIC-I In Ceramic Packaging
Week 35 1981 to Week 8 1982 is a long window for prototyping ? Or you think there were simply so many rejects it was easier to throw the defect wafer and reuse the package ?

PAL VIC-I In Ceramic Packaging
I just bought a VIC-20 with a ceramic VIC-I chip. Datecode 08-1982. I knew that they existed, but have never got my hands on one before. I assume they are quite rare compared to the plastic versions.
Anyone else have one ? Which datecodes ?

Re: Display issue on PAL VIC-20
You need to make the s-video mod. This known issue is due to chroma creep. Are you still selling those solderless mod cables? Or do you have a diagram of it? I have seen the written instructions but a diagram would help. (Though honestly I'm not a fan of s-video, I never seem to have much luck with...

Re: Possible to copy Vic-20 games to diskette and C-cassette on a c64 with the 1541 Ultimate II+?
The short answer is yes. Assuming your 1541U2+ is sticking in a C64 and getting power, then you can connect both IEC and C2C cables in your VIC20 and have them load games. The only drawback is you need to have 2 computers and swap screens to get to the 1541U2+ GUI
