Re: Final Expansion 3 NG
Actually it would be nice to be able to mute the memory expansion and still have the SD card reader; if that even works with one of those expansion port quadruplers plus, well, Ultimem...

Re: Final Expansion 3 NG
CE is not a "certificate" and doesn't cost more than the sticker. You're right. Just slap it on. Have been hanging around with the wrong "experts" – and the other thing I "know" of was some medicinal device – I don't really wanna know more details about even more regul...

Re: Final Expansion 3 NG
I'm hoping that I'll be able to post to Europe without too much trouble. Electronics need a CE certificate to be sold in the EU and they didn't give a fck about anyone wanting to sell in small numbers or making sense (thermometers with a single AAA cell usually don't explode). And if you got one (...

Re: TUNIX
There's a v0.0.17 already but not much reason to go waste a night on it: https://github.com/SvenMichaelKlose/tunix/releases/tag/v0.0.17 An auto-loader is making life easier and the editor is as responsive as a typewriter. That breaks the roadmap, so it's writing the compiler with host software inste...

Re: Use it with the VIC?: Enhanced Commodore 64 RS232 Serial Adapter v2
I've documented the known problems with the KERNAL RS-232 routines here . In summary, bidirectional data is reliable up to 1200 baud, you can have 2400 baud, but only in one direction. Hardware flow control is plain broken, you need something implemented in software to avoid buffer overruns. Thanks...

Use it with the VIC?: Enhanced Commodore 64 RS232 Serial Adapter v2
Time to finally plug something into the user port. But does this thing have any value in the 9600 baud range for the VIC? Should one buy it at all, or are there any issues that'd bite one in the backplate? Thanks a million in advance. Was looking here: https://www.tindie.com/products/8bit_bruno/enha...

Re: TUNIX
Trying to escape into the weekend will probably be interesting with that new set of laptop batteries. Would love to finish the editor and not stop until it's done, but wetware has its limits. (One more minute and I'll qualify for an official care level and free drool bib.) The Lisp code to play arou...

v0.0.10 it is: https://github.com/SvenMichaelKlose/tun ... ag/v0.0.10
It's really getting tight for the VIC now, but still good to experiment with a couple of expressions.

I'm pretty sure it was one of my bugs, not cc65. That's quite a relief.

Re: TUNIX
It's release v0.0.6. (EDIT: v0.0.7 - a regular v0.0.x emergency release) Download: https://github.com/SvenMichaelKlose/tunix/releases/tag/v0.0.7 Changelog: https://github.com/SvenMichaelKlose/tunix/blob/main/Changelog.md Am hacking towards a very simple text editor to integrate. Doodled this so far:...

Re: Subforum for graphics/demos/music?
I agree. The search engine sucks and it's hard to find particular posts if you're not Rain Main. As far as I can guess that's why people just download stuff because it'll be "lost" at some point. Now that stuff could be archived in a more accessible manner some place else but there're bare...

Re: TUNIX
Release v0.0.1 is out! https://github.com/SvenMichaelKlose/tunix/releases
It has CHAR-AT, returning the value of a symbol name character at some position, and SYMBOL-NAME, giving you a symbol's name as a list of character values.
And it's a bit faster.
Have fun!
Oh! And it's MIT licensed.

Re: TUNIX
Can't quit messing around with this. Screenshot from 2024-08-15 21-45-44.png Cons compression is disabled. It will have more value with full heap compression and copying garbage collection. It shouldn't be done during GC as it can be quite time-consuming. Awesome for creating environment images and ...
